Specialty Stores Winning Over Shoppers

A survey from IBM Global Business Services found that about a quarter of shoppers would recommend specialty stores and online retailers, while only 13 percent said they would recommend larger chain and discount stores, Inc.com reported. Online clothing retailers were found to have the highest with potential for growth.

The survey, of 4,000 apparel shoppers, reported that shoppers feel a pleasant and easy shopping experience is the biggest draw for customers, according to Inc.com. Other issues shoppers are concerned with are better customer service and always-fresh product selection.
