Young Entrepreneurs Gather in D.C.

National Entrepreneurship Week kicked off this weekend and the seven-day event works to educate and encourage young Americans to start their own business, Inc.com reported. Workshops, seminars and a business plan contest are being held across the country, but there arespecial events in Washington, D.C., including an award presentation from the Small Business Administration and the official launch reception tonight.
"In order for others to continue to take risks by trying their luck at a new business, it's important that we applaud entrepreneurs for their achievements and encourage America's youth to pursue their own entrepreneurial endeavors," said Todd Stottlemyer, president and CEO of the National Federation of Independent Business, according to Inc.com. This is the second year that National Entrepreneurship Week has taken place.
